About BedCover.org
BedCover.org is a small independent publication with one narrow job: helping people choose the layer that goes on top of their bed — duvet covers, comforters, quilts, coverlets and bedspreads — and keep it in service for years.
How we research
We don't rank by press releases or listing photos. For every category we:
- Define measurable criteria first — fabric weight (GSM), weave, fill power and fill weight, closure hardware, anchor points, certifications — and publish them in the relevant buying guide before naming products.
- Prioritize longevity evidence. We weight owner feedback that describes products after months of washing over first-impression reviews, and we specifically track reports of shrinkage, pilling, zipper failure and fill clumping.
- Disqualify aggressively. Inflated multi-ply thread counts, missing corner ties, or hidden fabric weights remove a product from consideration regardless of popularity.
How we make money

Corrections
Bedding products get reformulated silently. If you find a spec that's out of date or a pick that's slipped in quality, tell us — reader reports have triggered re-reviews before, and we date every update at the top of each guide.
